Instagram Introducing New Messaging Features in India

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced plans in March last year to integrate Messenger, Instagram Direct and WhatsApp into a unified messaging experience.

At the core, the objective is to provide end-to-end encryption across the whole messaging “ecosystem”.

Today : Facebook is merging Instagram direct message with the Facebook messenger app in India staring from today. 

This means, Instagram users can send messages to contacts on the Facebook Messenger without the leaving app and also from Messenger app can send messages to Instagram.

With the new features, quite a new change in the interface of Instagram like, DM icon at the top right corner of Instagram is get replace with the Messenger icon, can change the color of the chatbox, and more.

To use this function in Instagram and Facebook's Messenger you need to update these apps from there respective apps store for Android it is Google play store and for iPhone users its is Apple store , the latest build of Instagram in Android's play store (version 164.0.0.46.123) and for Apple store (version 165.0). Likewise You need latest Facebook's messenger apps its latest build is for android (version 287.0.022.120), for iPhone users(version 287.1).

Cross-App Messaging and Calling

Selfie stickers, also introducing vanish mode, where you can set messages to automatically disappear after they’re seen.

Can set chats theme, message reply like in Facebook's messenger app
