Railways Recruitment March 2018: Over 6000 vacancies to get filled up! Don’t Miss

In yet another good news for candidates awaiting desperately for a government job, the Indian Railway is soon going to publish a recruitment notification announcing around 6000 vacancies for Ticket Collectors, Goods Guards, Booking Clerks, Reservation Clerks, Enquiry Clerks and Pharmacists in March under Railway Recruitment 2018.

Aspirants can view the detailed notification, application procedure and other necessary details mentioned below.

As per a notification, Indian Railways is expected to issue recruitment notification to recruit around 4000 vacancies for Ticket Collectors & Goods Guards in March 2018 and around 2000 vacancies will be created for Booking Clerks, Reservation Clerks, Enquiry Clerks and Pharmacists.

The expected required education qualification for the Ticket Collector is Graduation and Goods Guards is 10+2. While the candidates’ lower age limit has been fixed at 18 years, the upper age limit is relaxed as per the government norms.

Selection Process: A written examination in multiple-choice (MCQs) objective type pattern will be held, where candidates will be tested on their aptitude, language skills, General Knowledge and Current affairs through 100 objective type questions.

The duration of examination is expected to be 60 minutes. Aspirants should start referring their knowledge on these subjects as there will be negative marking too for every wrong answer. Selection for Goods guard will also include Physical efficiency Test, candidates qualifying the written examination will subsequently be called for Railway PET.

The Railway Recruitment Board had earlier notified and requested online applications for around 90,000 vacancies under Group C and Group D and Assistant Loco Pilot & Technicians.

Indian Railway as part of its expansion process has been developing dedicated fright corridor for creating infrastructure for the better mobilisation of goods. It is expected to start recruitment to staff and operationalize the completed projects.
